Buildwas

Buildwas lies in eastern Shropshire along the Severn, perfectly placed for exploring the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage sites. The A4169 connects it directly to Ironbridge, whilst the M54 (Junction 4 at Shifnal) provides the quickest route from Birmingham and beyond. The village's crowning glory is Buildwas Abbey, whose remarkably complete 12th-century Cistercian ruins create one of England's most atmospheric monastic sites.
