3About Browney
Browney is a small County Durham village just west of Durham city, easily reached via the A167 from the A1(M) at Junction 62. It's handy for exploring former pit villages like Brandon and Meadowfield, or as a base for the Durham Dales. The old Pithead Baths building still stands, now home to a motor parts business but keeping its original Victorian ironwork intact.
