About Bridge of Dee

Bridge of Dee is a small Dumfries and Galloway village named after its historic five-arched stone bridge spanning the River Dee. The A75 trunk road provides easy access, connecting to Castle Douglas (5km northeast) and the wider road network toward Stranraer or Dumfries. The 18th-century bridge remains the village's centrepiece, still carrying traffic over these salmon-rich waters.
