Braichmelyn lies in Gwynedd's Ogwen Valley, just outside Bethesda beneath Snowdonia's peaks. Reach it via the A5 from Bangor or Capel Curig, with the A55 providing main access from elsewhere. Popular routes include the scenic A4086 from Llanberis and local roads connecting nearby villages. The community sits directly below the terraced galleries of Penrhyn Quarry, once the world's largest slate quarry.
