Boulder, MT

Boulder is a small mining town in southwestern Montana, about 30 miles south of Helena via I-15 Exit 151. Highway 69 connects it to the Gallatin Valley, making it a convenient stop between Yellowstone and Glacier parks. At 4,900 feet elevation, it sits in a valley between the Elkhorn and Boulder Mountains along the Boulder River, offering excellent trout fishing and mountain access. The town's crown jewel is the historic Boulder Hot Springs Hotel, a grand 1888 brick building that once drew visitors from across the region to its natural mineral springs.
