Borstal is a residential area in the Medway valley between Rochester and the River Medway. Take Junction 2 off the M2 onto the A228 for direct access, or use the A2 through Dartford as an alternative from London. The area has over 150 EV charging points nearby and sits on gently rolling chalk downland typical of the North Downs. Borstal gave its name to the youth detention system after the first borstal institution opened here in 1902.
