Black Notley is a small Essex town between Braintree and Witham, easily reached via the A120 from the M11 or A12. The B1024 runs through the village centre, whilst over 50 EV charging points are available locally. The town retains its rural character despite growth, surrounded by typical Essex farmland. Most notable is the former Black Notley Hospital, a grand Victorian mental health facility from 1893, now converted to flats after closing in the 1990s.
