Beckwith Township sits just west of Carleton Place in Lanark County, a quiet stretch of farmland crossed by the Mississippi River. Get there via Highway 7 from Ottawa or Highway 15 up from Smiths Falls and Kingston. Most trips are short local runs to Carleton Place, Perth, or Smiths Falls, while longer hauls usually mean a flight out of Ottawa / Carp Airport, about 38 km away. EV charging is easiest to find in Carleton Place. Fun fact: the township is named after a British general, Sir George Beckwith, who never actually visited.
