Beaumaris

Beaumaris occupies Anglesey's southeastern shore, easily reached via the A545 from Junction 8A on the A55. Most visitors arrive from Menai Bridge, just four miles away, though the town also draws day-trippers from across North Wales via the coastal expressway. The sheltered position along the Menai Strait provides milder conditions than Anglesey's western coast, with Snowdonia's peaks visible across the water. Over 30 EV charging points serve the area, supporting both local journeys and longer touring routes around the island. The 13th-century castle remains deliberately unfinished, its inner foundations still visible where Edward I's great hall was never built.
