Battramsley

Battramsley is a New Forest village in Hampshire, reached via the A337 from Lyndhurst or Lymington through open heathland where ponies roam freely. Brockenhurst railway station lies 3km away, whilst Southampton is about 20km via the A35. The village sits within one of England's last areas where medieval commoners' rights remain active, allowing locals to graze livestock on ancient forest land exactly as their ancestors did a millennium ago.
