About Barrisdale

Barrisdale occupies a spectacularly remote position at the head of Loch Hourn, reached via challenging single-track roads from the A87. The approach through Glenelg tests even experienced Highland drivers, whilst the final stretch demands particular care. Electric vehicle owners should note the approximately 2 public fast chargers serve the broader region, requiring careful journey planning. The settlement sits where Loch Hourn's waters meet incoming streams, creating a dramatic natural amphitheatre beneath towering peaks.
