Banners Gate occupies Birmingham's northern edge where it meets Walsall and Sutton Coldfield. The A34 forms the main route south into Birmingham city centre and north toward Walsall, whilst the A452 connects eastward to Sutton Coldfield. Short hops to Kingstanding and Pheasey use Chester Road and Queslett Road. The Belfry's championship golf course lies just northeast of the area.
