Ballybofey

Ballybofey sits in County Donegal's Finn Valley, twinned with Stranorlar across the River Finn. The N15 runs straight through both towns, making it a handy stop between Letterkenny and Donegal town. From Dublin it's about 250 kilometers via the N15 through Cavan and Monaghan, while Belfast drivers take the A5 to Omagh then continue south. Local routes include the R252 west to Killybegs and the R250 toward Glenties. This market town serves the farming community at the foot of the Bluestack Mountains, and it's the birthplace of former Ireland goalkeeper Packie Bonner.
