Ballifeary

Ballifeary lies on Inverness's western edge, just 2km from the Highland capital's centre via the A862 Dores Road. Long-distance visitors arrive on the A9 from the south or A96 from Aberdeen, whilst locals use short connections from surrounding districts. The area sits where the Highlands rise from the Moray Firth coastal plain, enjoying relatively mild northern Scottish weather. Inverness Airport is 15km northeast, and the city offers over 30 EV charging points. The name comes from Gaelic "Baile Fhiaraidh," meaning "town of the bent grass," recalling its marshy origins.
