Aylesham is a former mining village in East Kent, positioned along the A2 between Canterbury and Dover. The A2 provides direct access, whilst local routes connect through Wingham and the surrounding villages. Built in the 1920s as a planned community for colliery workers, it retains its distinctive company housing architecture throughout the village centre.
