About Aylesford

Aylesford straddles the River Medway in central Kent, just off Junction 4 of the M20. The A229 runs straight through the town centre, connecting Rochester to the north with Maidstone to the south, whilst the historic market town benefits from excellent motorway links via both the M20 and nearby M2. The 14th-century stone bridge over the Medway marks the spot where Britons supposedly fought their last battle against Saxon invaders in 455 AD.
