Armitage Bridge is a former mill village in West Yorkshire's Holme Valley, positioned between Huddersfield and the Peak District. Access is via the A6024 Woodhead Road, about 6 miles southwest of Huddersfield town centre, with good connections to Manchester (45 minutes) and Leeds (under an hour). The village serves as a gateway to the Dark Peak, with over 100 public EV chargers nearby. The original 18th-century stone bridge over the River Holme remains the village's centrepiece and gives it its name.
