Ankerville

Ankerville lies along the A99 in the eastern Highlands, about 15km northeast of Tain where it connects to the A9. The city sits on Scotland's northeastern coast with views across the Cromarty Firth, surrounded by typical Highland farmland and coastal scenery. Long-distance visitors typically drive up from Inverness via the A9, whilst local routes serve the scattered nearby communities like Pitcalnie and Nigg. The town centre boasts an original 18th-century mercat cross with its iron weathervane still turning after more than two centuries.
