Aller is a small Dorset village tucked into the chalk downs between Blandford Forum and Dorchester, reached via the A354. The area offers classic rolling countryside with views across the Piddle Valley, whilst nearby Ansty and Melcombe Bingham provide pleasant walking routes through traditional farming country. The village church houses a remarkable 15th-century wooden screen, one of very few medieval examples surviving in the county.
