Acton Bridge

England

Acton Bridge is a small Cheshire village where the A49 crosses the River Weaver via a historic swing bridge. It's easily reached from the M6 (Junction 19 via A556/A49) or M56 connections through Northwich, sitting between Warrington and Tarporley. The village serves as a useful crossing point for traffic between the Weaver Valley and destinations toward the Wirral. Its Victorian railway swing bridge, built in 1837, still rotates for river traffic.
