Abermule

Abermule lies in the Severn Valley in central Powys, about 6km from Newtown along the A483. It's a handy stopping point for those travelling the A470 through mid-Wales or approaching from Shrewsbury via the A458. The village sits among typical Powys farmland with decent EV charging nearby. Abermule was the site of Britain's first head-on railway collision in 1921, which led to major changes in railway safety.
