Aberkenfig

Aberkenfig is a former mining village in the Llynfi Valley, three miles north of Bridgend via the A4063. The village sits between the Rhondda valleys and the M4 corridor, with Junction 36 providing motorway access. Local routes connect to Tondu, Sarn and other valley communities, whilst the A473 offers east-west links. The village retains one of Wales' last working Victorian signal boxes on the Maesteg railway line.
