Tyne Dock lies on the Tyne's south bank in South Tyneside, easily reached via the A194 and A19. The former coal port now serves as a residential area with good links to Newcastle, the coast, and major motorways. The area has over 350 EV charging points and sits just minutes from South Shields town centre. Its 1906 railway swing bridge still operates today, allowing ships to pass upriver.
