Tulelake, CA

Tulelake is a small farming town near the Oregon border in northeastern California's high desert country. Highway 139 runs right through town, connecting to I-5 about 45 miles west near Yreka. Most visitors come via Highway 299 from Redding, then north on 139, or south from Klamath Falls on Highway 39. The town sits on land that was once the bottom of historic Tule Lake, drained over a century ago to create incredibly fertile farmland.
