Trelawnyd is a small Flintshire village positioned between the Clwydian Range and the coastal plain. Drivers reach it via country lanes from the A55 at Junction 32 near Rhuddlan, or along the A547 coastal route from Prestatyn. The village serves as a gateway to the Clwydian Range AONB, with over 50 EV charging points available in nearby coastal towns. Its Welsh name means "town of boats" despite being several kilometres inland.
