Touraneena

Ireland
Touraneena is a small village in County Waterford's Nire Valley, where the Blackwater River winds through the Comeragh Mountains. From Waterford city, take the N25 west to Dungarvan, then the R672 north for a 45-kilometre drive through farming country. The R672 is the main road connecting the village to Dungarvan and the mountain passes toward Tipperary. Mind the narrow country roads and farm machinery. The village is home to Blackwater Distillery, where you can tour the facilities and taste Irish whiskey made with water from the local river.
