Thrushwood lies just outside Keswick in the Lake District, positioned on elevated ground with views over Derwentwater. Access is via the A66 from Penrith or the scenic A591 from Windermere, with local roads connecting nearby hamlets like Portinscale and Great Crosthwaite. Around 16 fast EV chargers serve the Keswick area. The settlement's name recalls the dense woodland where thrushes once filled the valley with their dawn chorus.
