Thrumster is a small Highland settlement in Caithness, six kilometres from Wick on the A99 coastal road. Most visitors arrive via the A9 from Inverness, a two-hour drive through spectacular Highland scenery, or fly into nearby Wick John o' Groats Airport. The village sits close to the dramatic clifftop ruins of Sinclair and Girnigoe Castles.
