Thornbury is a small Devon market town reached via the A3072 from Holsworthy or local roads from Okehampton through Milton Damerel. It sits in the Torridge valley amongst rolling farmland, roughly halfway between the north Devon coast and Dartmoor. The 15th-century church tower dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles away across the surrounding countryside.
