The Rower sits along the River Nore in County Kilkenny, about 8 kilometers northwest of New Ross. You'll reach it via the R700 from New Ross, or take the M9 south from Dublin then follow the R700 for 15 minutes. The village makes a handy base for exploring nearby Inistioge and Graiguenamanagh, with Mount Juliet Golf Course close by. The name comes from the Irish "An Rámhaí," meaning "the rower," a nod to its days as a river transport hub on the Nore.
