Thatcher is a small college town in southeastern Arizona's Gila Valley, home to Eastern Arizona College and about 5,400 residents. Located 125 miles northeast of Tucson via US-191 and Highway 70, it sits at 2,900 feet elevation with hot summers and mild winters.
