Thames Haven occupies a stretch of Thames Estuary marshland in Essex, surrounded by industrial installations and flat wetlands. Reach it via the A1014 from Stanford-le-Hope, connecting to the A13 from London or M25 Junction 30. The settlement sits within Thurrock's industrial corridor, with over 100 EV charging points scattered across the borough. The area's most striking landmark is its enormous oil refinery, whose silver storage tanks create an unmistakable industrial skyline visible from the Thames.
