Temple, Midlothian

Temple lies in Midlothian's countryside, about 20 kilometres southeast of Edinburgh via the A7 and B6372. The village sits amongst the Lammerlaw Hills' gentle slopes, maintaining its rural charm whilst being well-connected to the capital. The A68 provides southern access, particularly handy for Borders traffic, whilst western visitors typically use the M8-A7 route. With Gorebridge's Borders Railway connection just seven kilometres away and over 150 fast charging points nearby, it's easily accessible by various means. The village takes its name from the Knights Templar, whose 12th-century church ruins remain visible today.
