Taylortown is a small Moore County community of about 760 people in North Carolina's Sandhills region. Take US Highway 1 south from Raleigh (60 miles) or north from the South Carolina border to reach town. NC Highway 73 provides east-west connections to neighboring communities like West End and Carthage. The 1953 brick post office still has its original brass mailbox slots.
