Tankerton is a North Kent coastal district near Whitstable, reached via the A299 from the M2 or A290 from Canterbury. Popular with day-trippers from Canterbury and weekend visitors from London, it offers excellent seafront access with ample EV charging nearby. The area's claim to fame is "The Street" - an extraordinary shingle causeway extending half a mile into the Thames Estuary at low tide.
