Tandragee
Ireland
Ireland
Tandragee perches on a hillside in County Armagh, a town of 3,500 with grand views over the Cusher River valley. The A27 runs straight to Portadown 10 kilometres away and on to Belfast, while the A51 heads south to Newry. It's a handy spot for exploring the county, with Armagh 18 kilometres off and Banbridge just 12. The real draw is Tandragee Castle, a proper 19th-century Scottish Baronial pile with turrets you'll spot from the main roads, now doing duty as a wedding venue after replacing the original 17th-century castle.
