Tamms, IL

Tamms is a small southern Illinois town of 600 people, located 15 miles north of where the Mississippi and Ohio rivers converge. Take I-57 to Exit 18, then Route 127 directly into town. Most visitors come from Marion or Carbondale to the north, while some arrive from Paducah, Kentucky. The town sits on flat Mississippi River valley bottomland and is known primarily for housing the state's supermax prison facility.
