Talmine is a tiny coastal village in Sutherland, perched on the Kyle of Tongue with Atlantic views. Reach it via the A838 from Tongue (8 miles) or the longer route from Thurso on the A99 then A838. The single-track approach road winds through classic Highland scenery. The old stone harbour, though no longer used commercially, remains a picturesque reminder of the village's fishing heritage.
