Summit is a tiny community in Muskogee County, about 15 miles southeast of Muskogee via State Highway 2. Most visitors arrive from US-69 south through Muskogee, with the nearest airport about 20 miles northwest. The settlement sits in rolling hills that were once home to coal mining operations, which gave Summit its name.
