Sturry

England

England

Sturry lies just northeast of Canterbury on the A28, where the old Roman road crosses the River Great Stour. The village serves as a natural crossing point between Canterbury and the coastal towns, with the A291 providing quick motorway access via the M2. The medieval church of St Nicholas houses a remarkable 13th-century wooden knight's effigy, one of only a few surviving examples from that era.
