Strumore lies just inland from Lochmaddy on North Uist, reached via the CalMac ferry from Skye then the A867. The village connects to other Outer Hebrides settlements through single-track roads with passing places, whilst the A865 links south to Benbecula and South Uist by causeway. About 5 public fast chargers serve electric vehicles across the area. The village overlooks Loch Strumore, which creates perfect reflections of the surrounding hills on calm days.
