Stromeferry serves as a transport hub on Loch Carron's shores in the western Highlands. The A890 runs through the village, connecting to the A87 near Kyle of Lochalsh and continuing toward Lochcarron. Most visitors arrive from Inverness via the A87 through Glen Shiel, whilst local traffic uses shorter routes from Kyle or Plockton. The railway station sits right beside the main road, marking the terminus of the scenic Highland line from Inverness.
