Stone, Kent

Stone lies in northwest Kent between the M25 and Thames, where chalk downs meet riverside marshes. The A226 runs through the town, connecting to Dartford and Gravesend, whilst most visitors use M25 Junction 2. Daily traffic heads to nearby Dartford or Greenhithe, with longer routes via the M25 to London or Canterbury. The massive Lafarge cement works towers over the Thames, a landmark visible for miles.
