Stevenage lies 30 miles north of London on the A1(M), serving as a key junction where the A602 meets the motorway at Junction 7. Long-distance routes connect London to Scotland, whilst local traffic uses the A602 to reach Hertford and Hitchin. With over 200 EV charging points available, the town was Britain's first New Town, designated in 1946.
