Stepaside

Stepaside is a suburban village about 20 kilometers south of Dublin city center, positioned where the coastal plain meets the Dublin Mountains. Take the N11 south through Donnybrook and Stillorgan, then the R117 west, or exit the M50 at Junction 15. The village serves as a handy gateway to the mountains and drives toward Enniskerry and Sally Gap. There's decent EV charging infrastructure across south Dublin for longer mountain trips or visits to Powerscourt. The name comes from "Céim an Chosáin," meaning "step of the little path," after an old mountain track that once ran through here.
