Stathern is a small Leicestershire village in the Vale of Belvoir, easily reached via the A52 between Nottingham and Grantham. The area's gentle countryside and fertile farmland make it typical East Midlands territory. Local roads connect it to nearby villages like Harby and Plungar, whilst longer routes serve visitors to Ragdale Hall spa or Belvoir Castle. The village boasts one of England's few surviving traditional tower windmills, a striking white landmark dating from the early 1800s.
