Staple Cross

Staple Cross is a tiny Devon settlement reached via country lanes branching north from the A38, which runs between Taunton and Wellington. The M5 lies about 15km southeast via the A38, making it accessible for longer journeys. Most traffic involves short hops to neighbouring villages like Hockworthy and Ashbrittle along winding rural roads. The hamlet's name comes from a long-vanished medieval stone cross that once stood at the local crossroads.
