South Pool

South Pool is a small Devon village tucked away in the countryside near the River Avon estuary. Reach it via the A379 coastal road, turning off at Frogmore for the final approach through narrow country lanes. Popular routes include the 8-kilometer drive from Kingsbridge and connections to Salcombe. The village church of St. Nicholas houses a remarkably preserved medieval rood screen with carved figures that escaped Reformation destruction.
