Slack Head lies in southern Cumbria near Morecambe Bay, reached via the A590 from the M6 at Junction 36. The village sits between limestone fells and tidal flats, with good links to Milnthorpe and Beetham. Over 50 EV charging points serve the area. The name comes from Old Norse "slakki," meaning a small valley that channels water toward the bay's extensive mudflats.
