Skirza perches on Caithness's northeastern cliffs, reached via the A99 coastal road from Wick (25km south) or as part of the tourist route to John O' Groats (8km). The A99 links to the A9 at Wick for connections south. About 5 EV fast chargers serve the area. The name derives from Old Norse meaning "bright slope," and from here you can spot Orkney's islands across the Pentland Firth.
